START DATE: 
1st week of April 2010

CAPTAIN'S MEETING: 
TBD @ Carpool in Herndon, VA. 
This is a Mandatory Meeting, so if the Team Captain is unable to attend, another representative from the team must be present.

GAME DAYS & TIMES:
Monday / Tuesday Nights from 6:30pm - 11pm
Wednesday / Thursday Nights from 6:30pm - 11pm
Saturday from 10am - 3pm

SEASON:
Each team will play 8 regular season games. The season begin in early April and goes through the end of June 2010.  Playoffs will be held after the regular season has been played. The number of teams that make it to the play-offs will be determined by the FXA.

CONFERENCES:
FXA Softball moving forward will have 2 conferences - CASUAL and COMPETITIVE.

-The Casual conference is more recreational and for new FXA teams or suggested for teams with under 2 year (6 seasons) experience.  .

-The Competitive conference is the ultimate softball competition and suggested for teams with over 2 years (6 seasons) experience.

MAKE-UPS:
If a game is cancelled due to inclement weather, make-up games may be scheduled on another day than usual game days. Blast text messages/emails will be sent to the coaches when games are cancelled, it will be posted on the website, or you can call the FXA Hotline at (703) 382-9111 x20.

FIELD LOCATIONS:
Adult Softball Fields located in Fairfax County

FEES:
The charge will be $600.00 per team.  The charge for individuals will be $50.00. You must make payment within 5 days after registration using PayPal or your registration will be deleted from the system.
There will be a 20% late fee for registrations after March 7th, 2010

RULES:
Each team shall field ten players, with at least four females on the field at all times.   Click on the Rules Tab for complete rulebook.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:
The league fee includes 8 regular season games (plus playoffs if you qualify), experienced & certified umpire, and beer/food specials after the games!

REGISTRATION:
Click on the Register Online or Spring 2010 Registration Tab to Register.  Click here for information and frequently asked questions about Individual (Free Agent) Registraton.  Registration ends on March 14th, 2010.  

AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 21 years or older to participate in Fairfax Athletics.

PLAYER WAIVER & RELEASE FORM
Before any player can participate in FXA, they must submit their online waiver.  It is the responsibilty of the Team Captain to make sure every player has completed their online waiver.

FXA Registration fees are refundable only at the discretion of Fairfax Athletics.

Will your company or your teammates company sponsor your softball team?  It never hurts to ask, right?  Simply explain to them that they could write it off as an advertising expense.

Individual Registrations:
Sign up as a Free Agent, and get placed on a team.

Cheaper Team / Individual Fees:
Our fees are much less expensive than other sport leagues.

We're about Fun, Not Rules:
Our emphasis is on playing the game of Softball, and having fun.

Longer Season:
You are guaranteed to play 8 games, and possibly 1-3 more if your team makes the playoffs (weather & field permitting)

Convenient Field Location & Parking:
Field locations to be determined but will have plenty of parking

Certified & Experienced ASA Umpires:
We will provide Adult Softball Association (ASA) Certified umpires that have years of umpiring experience. 

Social Sports League:
There will be scheduled activities and parties throughout the season.  EVERY MEMBER of FXA will be invited to participate, so you will meet people from the Soccer, Kickball, and Flag Football leagues.  More details to follow....
